Headteacher’s end of School Year letter

21st July 2017

Dear Parent/ Carer

Another year has come to an end and I am sure your child(ren) will be taking with them some fabulous memories that they’ve created this year. I’ve thoroughly loved spending the last three weeks back with my Stockland Green family where I received the warmest of welcomes.

In school we talk a lot about our ‘Stockland Green Standard’. We focus on our core values. We encourage all our staff and students to aspire to their very best, believe they have the ability and as a result achieve their personal best.
This has been evident during a fabulous end of the year and I have been reminded how amazing our children are. They really do put 100% into everything that they do.  There were some record breaking performances at Sports Day which impressed our special guest Ashia Hansen, retired British triple jumper.

We’ve celebrated academic success, house points gained, attendance and wider contribution to school life in our House reward assemblies. Well done to all those that received awards.

We have been so proud of the appearance of our students this year. Their blazers and formal footwear have made them look smart and business like, a credit to themselves, their families and their school.  One slight change we have already communicated is that from September, skirts are to be loose fitting and no more than 3cm above the knee.

All it remains for me to say is a heartfelt thanks for your ongoing support to the school.  On behalf of myself, the staff and the governors.  I wish you all a safe, happy and sunny (fingers crossed) Summer break and we look forward to welcoming Year 7 on Tuesday 5th September at 8.45am and Years 8 to 11 on Wednesday 6th September at 8.45am.

Yours sincerely
