Train to Teach with the Arthur Terry National Teaching School

 Arthur Terry National Teaching School are hosting a drop-in morning on Saturday 24th March 2018 10am – 12pm for graduates and career changers who would like to find out more about a career in Primary and Secondary teaching. In order to continue to recruit the highest calibre of graduates, several financial incentives are in place for 2018-2019 including bursaries of up to £28,000 for prospective teachers of shortage subjects.

Recognised by Ofsted for the ‘Outstanding success of leaders and managers in establishing good training’, Arthur Terry National Teaching School currently has over 50 training teachers being developed by specialist Learning Coaches, in over twenty five primary and secondary schools within its alliance. With good teachers being in demand, the majority of last year’s cohort have secured jobs in schools that are part of the Arthur Terry Teaching School Alliance. Many of our recruits are in a position of leadership within two years due to the wide range of Professional Development and leadership opportunities offered by the Teaching School. The average salary for teachers in England now stands at £37,400.
